Hyper SureStart® helps American consumers use clean energy
In the US, reliable energy sources are in high demand. With a power grid not updated since World War 2 and above-ground powerlines vulnerable to natural disasters — for example, in cases such as the severe winter storms that swept Texas in 2021, leaving more than 4.5 million homes and businesses without power — it is critical to have a dependable, energy efficient backup power solution. And until recently, American homes did not.
Motived by allowing more people to use renewable energy, Hyper SureStart® soft starters can be installed on the consumer’s air conditioner or heat pump, allowing it to run on solar and battery power. At the same time, it is a solution that detects outages and automatically becomes a home’s energy source when the grid goes down.

As Americans face increasing environmental threats such as droughts and wildfires that cause major power outages, it’s essential that they have reliable and clean backup generators. The existing technology is typically powered by fossil fuels like natural gas or propane — unstable energy sources that American utilities aim to phase out by 2035.
With that objective in mind, Hyper SureStart® soft starters will continue to help American homeowners become more energy efficient and secure.
