Two Software Engineers for the Development Department

With reference to the Head of R&D, you will, as a Software Engineer, be responsible for maintaining codebases for both existing and new software packages, as well as developing new software. Together with your skilled colleagues in the development department, you will play a key role in supporting the strong growth that Eltwin has experienced and continues to expect. You will be part of Eltwin’s software team, focusing on the drives segment.

About the job

The position is part of the development department, where you will join a team of highly skilled specialists with expertise in software, hardware, and mechanics. You will be working on a major AC drives project. Eltwin uses Prince2 as the foundation for project management, and larger tasks are overseen by an experienced project manager in R&D. For smaller tasks, you may be assigned independently as a Software Engineer. Additionally, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs and engaging in technical discussions and sparring on solutions.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Programming embedded software in C, C++
  • Code review
  • Contributing to the integration of module, unit, and integration testing
  • Supporting business cases in connection with customer offers
  • Ensuring clear requirement specifications and estimating time consumption
  • Taking ownership of the existing product program when updates and optimizations are needed
  • Documentation and ensuring thorough handover in different project phases
  • Supporting Eltwin’s service department in handling RMA cases
  • Providing support for new and existing customers
  • Developing software for a major AC drives project
  • Opportunity to advance into a team leader role in the future

About You

You have experience with embedded software and a good understanding of hardware. You have several years of experience in software programming within an electronics manufacturing company, preferably in power electronics. Knowledge of IM/PM motor control is a plus.As a person, you are independent, responsible, outgoing, and a strong team player who takes ownership of problem-solving. You are confident in making decisions and can structure your own work efficiently.

Eltwin is an international company with great diversity, reflected in the composition of the development department. The position therefore requires strong communication skills in both written and spoken Danish and English. Some travel activity may be required.

You have a relevant educational background and familiarity with some of the following is an advantage: software safety certification, EMC/LVD standards, Python, Matlab/Simulink, Plecs, GIT, C++, Jira, Yakindu, and microcontrollers.
