What to do when the perfect product doesn’t fit the perfect market? Enertech Global wanted to introduce an air-to-water heat pump to the North American market. But as the US electronic standards differs from the European standards, the existing design of the air-to-water heat pump wasn’t adaptable.

Close collaboration

Together with Enertech Global we developed an 8-kW single phase converter to make the air-to-water heat pump adaptable to the US market. Taking into account the tasks complexity in combination with a tight deadline there was no room for errors. And development as well as designing and testing was based on a high level of trust and cooperation across the continents.

"Close cooperation has been our key foundation throughout the entire task"

Starting up the task we had engineers staying at Enertech Global for developing a mock-up. Ensuring this close cooperation during the preliminary phase turned out to be a valuable priority, as the first tests exceeded our expectations by not showing any issues at all. Close cooperation has been our key foundation throughout the entire task Says Steve Smith, CEO of Enertech Global. And besides traveling across continents, ongoing follow-up meetings have ensured the necessary trust and confidence both ways.
